About Us:
Since 1971, Precision Grinding has developed strong repeat relationships with customers from the tool and die, stamping, aerospace, automotive, fabrication, special machining, construction, oil/gas, environmental, food service, Power, Nuclear, plywood, paper, veneer mill and entertainment industries to name a few. Precision Grinding, Inc. manufactures custom steel plate shapes and structural steel products.
 

Flame Cutting & Plasma Cutting:
At Precision Grinding we have (3) 40 foot plate burning tables, with the capacity to CNC flame cut up to 10" thick and to CNC plasma cut plate to 1 3/8"

A36 plate inventory, incremental thicknesses 1/4" to 8" thick, and we inventory A572-50, A514-T1, 1045, and 4140 up to 4" thick. Whatever thickness you need, Hot Roll or Alloy steel, we are able to handle requests for thicknesses up to 24" A36 and HRS 1020, to 14" thick for 1045 and 4140, and to 8" thick in most every grade of tool steel and wear plate. Precision Grinding also regularly supplies parts cut from Carbon Steel 1020 & A516 grade 70 (70k+ tensile strength); A2, D2, & S7 tool steel, and 410 series & 420 stainless steel. We have relationships with the major steel mills and steel distributors for many of the common structural Carbon Steel and Alloy Steel Plates.

On-site Thermal Stress Relieving and Annealing Furnace, 8' x 8' x 14' capacity, operates daily.

Grinding:
(10) Large Blanchard Grinding, Mattison Reciprocating Grinders, and Surface Grinding machines underneath one roof.  We specialize in Rotary Grinding and Surface Grinding large and heavy machine tools and parts to close structural tolerances, flat, parallel, square, and uniform.

These high horsepower grinders provide high accuracy and high production repeatability.

Steel Fabricating , Machine Building , Job Shop:
Within a 60,000 sq. ft. enclosed building, our Steel Fabrication department has the ability to weld, fit, assemble, test, and to completely fabricate weldments and Specialty Machines for custom design-build projects of all types. We specialize in working with Design Engineers to build Prototype Machines for precision manufacturing. Examples include Robotic Welding platforms and controls, Dynamic Air Flow measurement / testing for AeroSpace, Concrete Wall Panel cement molds for Highway Construction, and Lifting Machines.
